The above January 2000 link from the US State Department states that four of 30 borrower nations still owe WWII Lend-Lease debt.  Great Britain, one of the four, paid off its debt on December 28, 2006. The other three, Russia (Soviet Union), Taiwan (China), and Iran, are complicated due to regime changes and other treaty obligations but are still being pursued.]]></description>
